Preliminary Order for July 1st, 2014

Enjoy the local treats that are in season.  Our avocados are just getting into full swing.  Mangoes will be available in plentiful supply, but for a short time.  Stock up and freeze for future smoothies.  Here's another idea: we love avocado and mango together in a salad with romaine lettuce and a bit of red onion.  A friend of mine shared her family's favorite salad dressing which goes so nicely with this combination: equal parts of lime juice, plain yogurt and honey.  Happy grilling as you celebrate the Forth of July!  Don't miss the invitation below for a Dinner's Done Freezer Meal Workshop.  RSVP needed by Wednesday.

Preliminary Order for Tuesday, June 3rd, 2014

Summer is here and even though we do see some transition in seasonal items, I think you will enjoy the quantity and variety in this week's box.  Check it out!  As I am out of town for this month, please check directly with your local host to see what extras like honey and oils are available.  If she does not have what you need, place your order for our first delivery in July.  Just checking us out for the first time?  See our list of locations posted in the right column on our blog at HealthyHabitsProduce.blogspot.com.

Summer can get a bit hectic for our members and our hosts.  Please be proactive in communicating with your host about your summer schedule.  It is best if you can find someone to fill in for you if you will be out of town.  Sometimes the host can help with finding someone to fill in for you, but the best way to keep things running smoothly is to communicate!  LOL

Our goal is to provide the best selection year round and to help you get the most for your money in both quantity and quality.  All produce is certified organic.  Substitutions may occur.  We look forward to seeing you this Tuesday!  Don't miss the online payment options available only on our newsletter.  Not getting it?  Email Cyndi to request being added to our mailing list.

Our standard option for $4.75 dozen is either local pastured conventional eggs or organic free roaming.  Supply for this organic variety was rather tight when the new year rolled in.  (Higher demand for organics this time of year.)  Things seem to be settling down and supply is more steady so we will order the organic free roaming unless unavailable.  Local pastured conventional is our substitute.  The price for the organic free roaming will be going up next pickup as our costs have gone up again.  Starting June 17 the new price will be $5.10.
Organic Coconut Flour:  Our family eats Gluten Free so I am always looking for good wholesome foods to supplement.  Tropical Traditions has a ton of recipes online using this healthy, high protein flour.  $10 per bag, 2.2 lb each.  7 bags available.

Healthy Coffee and Tea now available

I have some on hand for $30 box (black coffee, late, mocha, hot chocolate) or $35 for organic (green tea, red tea, cafe supreme).
