Order for Tuesday, January 15

Do you want the good news or bad news first?  Well, the bad news is that California has had some severe cold and freezing conditions.  This has had a major impact on our farmers and resulted in damaged or delayed growth for many items that are usually plentiful at this time of year.  These items include lettuces, broccoli, greens, and potatoes. From the growers out west, we hear that there will be severe shortages and rising prices on items that have been impacted by the extreme weather.   We'll be able to make up for this partially by buying Florida produce, but since overall supply will be down, demand for Florida's produce will go up also.  Most of our broccoli comes from CA, and broccoli and romaine prices are sky high already.  Because of some higher prices, the shares will only include 3 fruit items, but one is a full bag of apples -- that almost makes up for 2, right?!  Redlands group will have opportunity to choose some local banana.

So here's the good news .... this is what's coming in your shares!  Enjoy the provision!
